# Packing Up VxScan

Pack up **VxScan** through the following steps:

1. **Pack up the scanner**:

* [ ] insert the Poll Worker Card snd select *`Power Down`* to turn VxScan off

* [ ] remove the power cord from VxScan
* [ ] remove the power cord from the outlet
* [ ] insert the power cord into it's storage space
* [ ] close the case lid
* [ ] seal and document the case seal(s) as required
* [ ] remove and document the seal and unhook the latch on the back of the case

* [ ] pull the case forward and lift the case off of the ballot box

2. **Pack up the ballot box:**

* [ ] unseal and/or unlock the ballot box

* [ ] remove all ballots from the ballot box and seal into a secure container, recording the seal number as required
* [ ] pull the locking arm down
* [ ] push the top down
* [ ] push the locking arm back up
* [ ] unlatch the bottom from the side
* [ ] using the yellow strap, pull the bottom up
* [ ] close the box
* [ ] velcro the top and bottom of each side
