Election Data

Save CVRs - the VxScan Cast Vote Record (CVR) contains the data for each ballot cast and is used to accumulate totals in VxAdmin. This file saves automatically to the USB drive when the polls are closed. However, if that fails or another copy is needed, it can be also be saved by selecting Election Data, and selecting Save CVRs.

Save Backup - the VxScan Backup file includes the VxScan's CVRs, logs, and ballot images.

Delete All Election Data from VxScan - to delete all data and the election configuration from the VxScan select Delete All Election Data from VxScan. Save the backup file before deleting.

System Settings

Override Mark Thresholds - use to change the acceptable mark percentages on VxScan after the election definition configuration has been locked and programmed. This system setting should only be used if advised by VotingWorks support staff.

Disable Double Sheet Detection - use to disable the ultrasonic sensor on VxScan in the event it fails and improperly rejects single sheets. This system setting should only be used if advised by VotingWorks support staff.

Set Time & Date - use to change the system date and time, select the button that displays the date and time currently set on VxScan.

Mute Sounds - use Mute Sounds to mute the VxScan system sounds.
