Additional Poll Worker Actions

The Pause Voting action in the poll worker screen is generally used by jurisdictions conducting early voting over multiple days. To pause voting and not allow ballots to be received by VxScan, insert a Poll Worker Card and select No.

Then select Pause Voting.

Two copies of the Voting Paused Report will print. If additional reports are needed, select Print Additional Voting Paused Report to print more.

Remove the Poll Worker card from VxScan. The polls are now paused.

Below is an example of the Voting Paused Report.

To resume voting, insert a Poll Worker Card and select Yes, Resume Voting.

Two copies of the Voting Resumed Report will print. If additional reports are needed, select Print Additional Voting Resumed Report to print more. The Voting Resumed Report and the Voting Paused Report should have the same ballots scanned count.

Remove the Poll Worker card from VxScan. The polls are now open.
