The VxEncode station is used by poll workers to encode voter cards that voters then use to activate a VxMark ballot-marking device. VxEncode stations are typically used when VxMarks are configured for Separate Printing, but can be used also when VxMarks are configured for Integrated Printing.
VxEncode comes in a small Apache 2800 case. Setup is particularly simple:
open the case and leave it opened.
take the power brick and plug it into a power outlet
turn on the VxEncode using the power button on the upper-left hand corner of the screen.
